Blistered Tyres

I got stuck on some ice the other day and after the 2nd gear gentle throttle application didn't work, I kept the ASC turned off and planted my right foot, due to a momentary loss if temper. After about 30 seconds I gave up and went to get my shovel out. I was then amazed to find that I had managed to blister my tyres really badly, oops!

I've never had this in 25 years of driving.
