We have just had the car back at Menzies due to grinding when braking. At 25000 they have replaced the front discs and pads, before we bought it the rear pads were replaced. To me this seems unusual has any one else experienced this wear?

Did the discs and pads need replacing ?? Was it a warranty replacement or did you pay for them to do the work?

25000 does seem very early but they may have been faulty....

No we did not pay, the work and other items was all completed under warranty, it did take 2 visits as they did not change the discs the first time

My rear discs went at 25k but that was due to scoring

Not very good IMHO, I managed 55k on front pads & the rear are factory fitted & I'm now at 66k. Should also note that discs are all original, again from the factory.

My shoes are always fecked mind :thumbs up:

I wear a full set of discs and pads normally in 18k, so it's not beyond the bounds of possibility
