I use the bosch ones but went for 18" both sides sits on the windscreen that bit better with them being flat blade type.

Good advice. I bought a pair online and sent them back as the passenger side one does not wipe the last inch or more.
I think the oem ones are the best.

I bought mine from eBay, I think the driver's is 18" and the passenger's is 19". My passenger side also misses the tax disc area quite badly, but I can live with it. Next time I'll try 2x18"

Not all cars are best suited to the flat blades. The MINI screen is to upright and curved. The oem ones are designed with bending forces built in to the frame and the driver one has a spoiler designed to keep the blade down at 70mph!
I think as long as you replace them annually they are good.

Why dont you swap the two and put the 18" on the passenger side?

Won't the long one on the driver side hit the trim at the top of the windscreen?
If not, that sounds a good idea.
