My name is John Genduso and I am a MINI Owner and a MINI Motoring Advisor. I recently sold a nice pre-owned MINI to a gentlman that is on this forum. I'll let him post up when he's ready to tell everyone. He told me about this site so i thought I would check it out.

I was in the construction industry my whole life, when the industry turned upside down I took a risk and moved to Jacksonville, FL to sell MINI Coopers. The risk paid off and the opportunity to move to Pensacola, FL to work at the brand new MINI of Pensacola dealership fell into my lap. So here we are. I own'em, I race'em, and I sell'em!

Here’s my story in short…

May 2007 First MINI - R56 MCS
November 2007 Second MINI - R56 MCS
April 2008 First Mini – ’85 Mini City E 998cc RHD
October 2008 Construction Industry in the pooper – Turn In First MINI
April 2009 Quit Construction Industry to move to Jacksonville, Fl to sell MINIs
June 2009 Sold Classic Mini to help offset the cost of moving to Jacksonville, Fl.
August 2009 Moved to Pensacola to follow the MINI dream!
June 2010 Third MINI - R56 Cooper

Hi and welcome, cracking looking cars though I can understand your need to drive the white one with the windows down - how dark are those tints!

Oh, and yellow rims? How on earth did you come to that decision! Suit the car though!

We have a lot of British car clubs over here and a nice little Classic Mini following.

I have a separate set of wheel to race with, they used to be hot pink when I raced my wife's MINI. I just recently painted them Lime Green just for fun.

Yeah we have some motoring clubs that do it.
My friend does a fair bit of it, both on grass and on tarmac. I have done it once when they were allowed to bring friends along. It was great fun but used up alot of front tyre

My dad was heavily into that kinda stuff back in the 60's in his Cooper 'S' :thumbs up: I remember him coming back to the pits after one of his runs to see the wire belting of the tyre sticking through the tread

Ohhh and :welcome: Mungo :bigwave:

One of the MINI dealers used to have a track day every year. I went to see what all the hub bub was all about and got hooked. I purchased some sticky street tires from Tire Rack.com and put them on a set of old stock wheels so I can keep my daily driven tires in good shape. The SCCA is a great group, $80 per year and only $25 for a one day event with 8 timed runs. The tight courses are perfect for the MINI. It also makes you a better driver on the street.

BTW the Cooper runs in a class we call H-Stock and the Turbo Cooper S runs in D-Stock. I placed 2nd last event in my "Just A Cooper". The Honda's didn't like it. :-)
