Looking into winter wheels, steelies were magnificent last year but sadly wouldn't fit on the new motor:sad:

With R53 JCW brakes am I right in thinking they are the same as normal R56 brakes? Or is it just the R56 S?

And so could I go for any wheels from that range? i.e. 15" or 16" R56 style wheels?

yes R56 s brakes are the same as the jcw setup so any thing from that range will fit

I know OEM 15's won't fit, and only some OEM 16's as well

How can't you use steelies? I borrowed one of dugs steels for my r56s and it fitted no bother? I think there 15's?

15 steelies dont fit over the front brakes of an R56 S as I tried that a couple years back when I had my S when it got a puncture. The steelies do go on the rear though

Really? Well I had it fitted to the front passenger side of my r56 S. Fitted on no bother? :S

My wheel wouldnt turn as the caliper was rubbing on it.
It was an old R50 steel wheel I was using. Dont know if the inner shape differs to an R56 steel wheel.

You might have hit the nail on the head. Mine/Dougs are R56 ones.....
