Fried egg look!!!

Does anyone on here know if its possible to remove the orange indicator lenses from inside the R55/56 headlamp housing, I mean I know they can be removed and I know how to do it but are CLEAR lenses available to replace the orange ones with? and if so does anyone know a part number and where to get them from, thanks guys.

I even tried looking through www.realoem.com but couldn't find a part for it :sad:

Had a look on on google images and it would appear the non-xenon lights might be different, I presume it's non-xenon's you have?

Yeah the non standard cars without the white light pack have orange lenses. Although Xenon kitted cars that are not Ss or JCW and dont have the white light pack actually have orange lenses in the Xenons. It looks terrible.
the lenses can be removed but I dont think MINI supply replacement lenses. I think it might have to be heated a wee bit then the lens pulled out.
I have seen on total mini someone removed the orange lens then just put silvertec bulbs in as they light up orange. It still improved the look by a great deal.
I hate the orannge lights. It would have cost them exactly the same amount to make all the cars with clear ones its just that they can get £60 out of you for an option.

Yeah I had the clear lenses from the get go but just needed the Bulbs My Sisters 10 plate has the orange lenses like above.

(Thanks Stewart) And THIS is what I am after look wise... :thumbs up: yes I could remove the orange lenses easy enough and just put the silver bulbs in without a lense, but I am pernickity and like things to be perfect so would really like to get my hands on some clear lenses :D

I dont think you can buy the clear lens - maybe a breakers yard?
