Does anyone know please what the two bits sticking out of the airbox intake pipe in the bottom right corner of the photo are please?

One is cylindrical and the other a 90 degree bend.

I've got a feeling they may be to silence any intake / supercharger sound exiting through the intake, but not too sure.

I was playing with the idea of blocking them off with tape on the inside to see what difference it makes.

Thanks in advance

John

Like you say, they may be resonators to prevent excessive supercharger/intake noise, or it may improve the directional flow of the air.

Definitely don't seal them off with tape from the inside - the chances are it'll be sucked off and into the engine :hand:

Buy some silicone piping instead to try a different setup.

I took the whole pipe off today, i wouldn't leave it off because I know hot air would then enter, but i'm guessing they are definitely silencers or resonators now.

The sound of the supercharger at lower engine speeds is now magnified considerably, not any noticeable difference in induction roar though, just supercharger whine.
