Hire a diesel Clubman (where in Scotland?)

Looking to hire a diesel cubbie for a day or 2, the wife
want's a clubbie and don't know whether to get a petrol S
or the diesel and give it a remap (anybody got a remapped diesel mini?)
She likes the £30 a year roadtax, any info would be appreciated:thumbs up:

Eastern have a rental dept.
They have a Cooper S all4 Countryman on the rental fleet as well.
I was in on Sunday with my Dad and we spotted it.

Douglas Park at Hamilton have a car hire section - they gave me a Mini Cooper then Cooper Clubman last year when my car was in their garage for a month. Worth a call anyway.

I would say, having a Clubman D, that if its economy your looking for stick with the Dooper... I remember test driving them both, and to be honest I really couldn't tell them much apart...

Could it be cheaper in the first year?

I know when my wife got the wee i10, tax is free for the first year then something really cheap after that.

I paid £50 for the first year with it being new and show room tax etc
