Mini Alternative????

I was talking to a freind in the pub last night who said there was a new mini copy????

He told me the name of it but i cant remember....it was the early stages of some alcoholic hi-jinx so to be honest cant remember much about anything.:)

Has anyone heard or seen anything about this?? apparently its much cheaper and looks identical!!!!!!

Some people say a Daihatsu Sirion looks like a MINI, in fact I have waved at one once by mistake. Or there is a perodua Kelisa, which from certain angles (if u really squint) can look a bit mini like
