Road Signs

Ian King you will know, what are those yellow stickers that you see stuck on road signs these days they either have a black square, circle or rectangle etc etc in the middle. What are these for????

They are for emergency diversion routes.
Should we have to close a main trunk road then the closure can be put on much more quickly.
We simply close the road and put out a big sign saying 'follow diversion marked (and a wee pic of the symbol)'
Its a much quicker process if there is a fatal accident as we want all the public off the road and the road closed asap.
