if that is the only 3 choices I would take the Toyo's. The Avons wear VERY quickly, the Yokos are not very good in the wet conditions (ie heavy rain and standing water) and I have had the Toyos and of the 3 I would pick them... Others don't like the Toyo's, however for the price, they are good value. Maybe look at the Falken FK452's which will also be fairly cheap or the Hankook Evo's ;)

The Falken's are a false economy, I got a set with my Oz Ultras and they lasted 5k miles, they were OK but not a patch on Rainsports 2s. The Hankooks are the best of the ones suggested according to the reviews. Mind you I got a Rainsport 2s again and this time they only cost £84 fully fitted.

I'm liking the tyres I have on my current mini, I fancy Kumho next time.

I have no idea about tyres really but reading many posts over a lot of forums it seems everyone has a different opinion on what is a good or bad tyre.

So my advice is buy the tyre that most suits you budget and that you like the look of the tread pattern.

hmmmm..£84 each tyre?

Yes, per tyre but worth any penny. So far on my MINIs I have had Federal SS595, Falken FK452, Dunlop Sport Maxx and Uniroyals Rainsport 2s and Toyo TR1S.

Of the lot I'd rate the Rainsports highest by far, plus they look good. Worst was the Federals followed by the Toyos.

See I’m in the same boat, needing two front tyres but really wanting four normal one to get off the RF.

Can you get the Rainsport 2s in 16S 195/55R16 H 87

I was thinking
CONTINENTAL PREMIUM CONTACT 2

BRIDGESTONE ER300

price is around £80 but thats not fitted, another £38 for Standard Valve And Balance for the four.

Stewart, no they aren't available in that size but I'd go for 205/50 R16.

Uniroyal Rainsport 2s (http://www.uniroyal-tyres.com/generator/www/de/en/uniroyal/automobile/themes/02_summertyre/01_rainsport2/uebersicht_en.html)

I'd ring www.revolution247.co.uk for mail order prices, they say they are the cheapest on the net, everywhere else wanted £100 for the Rainsports

I will be buying new RF tyres soon and will probably go for Hankook or Kumho.

forgetting one tyre which is a good all rounder having tried all of the above apart from hankooks

the Khumo is a great tyre for price and performance imo
