Spent the best part of today trying to restore my white wheels back to their former glory.

This is how they started

neglect and too strong wheel cleaner to blame I think

So armed with a Dremmell some felt polishing heads and plenty of Autosmart Evo (all I had at hand) this is the end result finished them off with a coating of Autosmart WAX to see how long it will last on wheels

Still not perfect but alot better than what they were too far gone I think to save but will do until they can be powdercoated again.

Have got the 2 on the passenger side to do next for some reason they are worse. At approx 3 hours per wheel I have left them for next week. Atleast when you see the car side on one side looks really good, and you cant see both sides at the same time. Got it down to a fine art, dremel for the corners and the inside edges then the dual action polisher on the faces. really interested to find out how durable the WAX will be on them.

Yeah, when i've used wax on mine, i've found that obviously the build up of dirt is the same, however instead of having to use a cleaning agent, i've been able to get about 3-4 washes of just using a power hose to clean them up all nice and good!

Fester the only way to ensure they stay white is regular cleaning mate. The waxes/protectors obviously help but, nothing beats just simply removing the dirt/dust.

Yeah you're right, a winter & summer of neglect is the cause, now got proper facilities again so should stay sparkly white from now on.

I would order some Aquartz Iron Cut from polished bliss and that should take the last of the yellow metallic rust iron spots from them. Will also make doing the other 2 much easier.
