Well after 7 years with Sarah and 6 of them living together I have finally proposed and of course she said yes.

Took her for a nice meal and overnight stay at the Prestonfield Hotel in Edinburgh and managed to do it all romantic like after the meal. The hotel were great and had put lots of candles on outside with my champagne bottle awaiting with glasses at a quiet bench. She never sussed as I told her it was a corporate gift from work.

Sarah has all ready said that she would like to get married in the summer of 2012 so plenty time for HER to organise it.

She asked me how I felt, the answer is 'skint'

Fairly good idea actually.

She asked me what I would have done if she said no.
I had the autotrader ready so that I could go shopping for another classic mini to help console me.

Congrats Ian! I can remember being super nervous proposing to Kirsten, and now we're finalising everything for next year. I've told Kirsten, I don't really care as long as she shows up on the day, I don't really care whats going on around me!
