Looking for a conversion for the MCS today I stumbled accross the AMD SITE. There seems to be an excellent conversion for £500 supplied to take the MCS to 200bhp - not bad compared to the Works kit. Does anyone have any advice on AMD or have heard anything about them. They suppy the tools to fit and a "one-click" box for the ecu. Couldn't be too difficult to fit could it... The site is http://www.auto-amd.com/minicoopers.asp

There was a whole debate about this on MINI2. There have been some issues with engines reverting to safe mode when revs hit the red line (and you would never do that, would you;)). I would check out if there have been any updates on that. The AMD chairman/director guy logs on with comments too

Had a look - seems like a good deal but maybe with some unwanted issues. Think BBR is the way to go.

I'm sooooo tempted to get new wheels - OZ have a new wheel called Grand Turismo. Very fast & Furious. Just bought an excessively big telly so it may have to wait a month but still thinking of it...

I have one of my other cars booked in for the 28th August. Did you notice that they are going to be doing 300bhp for Mini Cooper S soon.

Martin - Tribals right - £1300 quid but about £1400 with decent tyres. Look nice like the Superlaggwhatstheirnames but newer. A bit GT4.

ScottieCoop - 300bhp would be lovely but I suspect it will be mega bucks.
