body is almost rubbed down. it's going white and black so has to be perfect. More time rubbing it down the better the finish.

Funnily enough was with my friend digging around his garage today and we had out original 10” Mini Cooper wheels ( the ones with the round holes) if you know what your talking about that you cant get hold of for love nor money also original Mini alloys.

Said he should clear his 1960’s and later Mini stuff as he was clearing about 1Ks worth of copper low voltage cable to sell.

It’s really a gold mine of Mini parts and my friend knows his stuff, all he was saying was you cant buy these tyres now you have to get them specially made etc.

Good luck with the classic.

Well done! Love both these cars. What's the running gear? :thumbs up: Had a Clubbie Estate years ago, so always had a soft spot for them and the van.

Nowadays, a 'Resto' Clubbie or a wee van, but with a hot 1293 and decent brakes etc etc :motoring: would be a perfect 'Sleeper' to sort out those modern motors.... Practical too.
I would probably kill myself in one of those now though! :frown:

They are both currently running 850cc lumps on wand shifts.... White one running cooper s brakes and rims... Van on drums.... (easier getting out and running round the front and holding the bonnet to slow down...)

Classics rock..... If only I had more space....

Wish I had room for your van!

I could never afford discs when I had my 1000 HLE (which I had after the Clubbie, which was really my Mum's). It had a 95bhp 1275, on 'Super Minifin' drums. They used to work for the first 10 minutes, then it was a case of fervent prayer versus the laws of physics! :wtf: Don't know how many lives I used up in that car - that's why I'm so sensible these days... and why I have such BIG BRAKES
