I've been playing about with the stereo in the new car a wee bit, and it has full USB compatability. So.. I have a question about this feature.. I know you can plug in a usb open drive and play music from it (I've got a tiny 2Gb one plugged in just now).
My question is that will it play music from USB powered portable hard drives too? (ie ones you can plug into your Pc without separate power sources?
I only ask because I can't really be arsed with the cost of an ipod, since you can get decent 500Gb drives for around the £50 mark, and I'd only be leaving it plugged into the car anyway..
Any ideas?
