That's so funny 2 days of it not working I was gonna put this up. Excellent it's sorted now.

There's an update from the APP store for the full version. I'm going to update it in a short while. Apparently it gives Mods/Admins editing powers.

Ok folks, been advised today that there is a new update for the Tapatalk software, in the past when i install it, it stops working then i have to get in touch with them to sort it out, so, can someone advise if it is still working without the update??

Often the old version won't work and needs the new version installed, since i'm offshore off Africa i won't be installing the software on the crappy internet connection, if it's not working the earliest i'll get to it is Monday, so, apologies up front if this causes any hassle

New Tapatalk update today, admins and mods take note, new apps for your phones will be released on the 19th march which will allow you to moderate the forums.
All i'll say is be very careful when using this feature due to wrong inputs due to small phone screen and close proximty phone buttons etc :thumbs up:

I updated the Tapatalk plug in, anyone else having problems with viewed threads?

Haven't had that problem, but when I first logged on this evening on the laptop, I got a message in the top right corner saying "if I download the latest version of Tapatalk I can get instant notification of new messages sent to my iPhone":confused::confused:

I've updated the Tapatalk software which should have given the service for push notifications, typically this feature hasn't worked yet, but, previously the PM system went down and the smiley's disappeared, as far as i can tell everything is working with the exception of the push feature.

So, bear with me, i'll hopefully get this resolved over the next few days.

In the meantime, please advise if you come across any problems :thumbs up:

Edit: Apparently, for those of you who use Google Chrome, you get an in browser push notifier as well ;)

Ok, push notifications should now work on your smart phone, tablet or device, but, you must be subscribed to the thread in order to receive the notification, which, is strange in itself cause in order to subscribe you receive an e-mail from NMS anyway.
This topic is a big debate on the Tapatalk forums and i'm hopeful that we'll be able to turn off the e-mail notification.

I'd try uninstalling it and then reinstall, perhaps do it through iTunes and have your phone connected

Looking on their support forum there seem to be a few people getting the same message on a variety of fora, so I'd assume it's a software glitch

Since i think everything is working ok now, personally i'm turning off push notifications from Tapatalk, i see no reason to have it when in order to enable it you have to subscribe to a thread and get forum e-mail notifications, just as well to have the e-mail on it's own.

What does this mean to you, well, for those who want it, it is available and it does work so carry on as normal.

So, in the future, if it stops working let me know and i'll switch it back on for me to check.
