With Apple announcing the new iPhone 4 I did a bit of looking to see if this one was going to support Flash.

No chance.

Steve Jobs makes a good argument for the case against Flash in iPhones, iPods and iPads in this: "Thoughts On Flash (http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/)"

In other Apple news, the new iPod for children will have to be renamed...

iTouch kids wouldn't be a good name.

I'll get my coat.

Controversial, but still

... and then appears to pretty much recant a lot of that earlier this month - http://www.macuser.co.uk/news/278122/jobs-says-apple-could-reconsider-flash-on-iphone-and-ipad.html

It seems that Apple may be softening their stance, and who knows, maybe Adobe's next update to the Flash player will make it meet Apple's requirements. We will have to wait and see!

BTW - I am now running iOS 4.0 on my iPhone - the new folders thing is great - I've gone from 8 pages of random apps to 3 logically laid out pages. I'm seriously thinking of selling my 3GS and buying a pay as you go iPhone 4.

Have you tried jailbreaking it? I've got loads of cool stuff on mine I can only get by jailbreaking - was just wondering if you've tried it

But it doesn't change the fact that web sites which use flash for navigation and roll-over options would still be pretty much useless without a "mouse" or pointer of some sort.

O.S.4... How did you get that then?
