I will be a down and up on the same day it's only 200 miles so not that bad done Mike's pplace a few times in the one day from Inverness.

We have since launching it to traders last night got 4 well known ones signed up for nice big stands
The Aintree Grand Prix track will be open on the Saturday for a track day - will let you know when booking is open

Just some info for the track day on the Saturday which is not being organised by us but would be interesting to see some MINIs on there - the registration form for the track day on 2nd October at Aintree will be released on the 8th September. You will need to fill it out & post it the same day - 1st class, not recorded & not in a large envelope as these will delay it ! They don't accept entry via email. It is first come first served
The track day will cost £110 with an extra driver being an extra £30. The groups will be single seater race cars, then road cars, expert, intermediate & novice.

lacker is coming off the bonnet and also some paint pealing on the bumper where the fogs would be if it had them but am in a fight with MINI about it the now as they say its no rust so its not coverd but i say its bad paint work and they should fix it as the give 5 year waranty on paint work also the bumber thing is a common fault so they are geting told to fix that as well :yes nod:

Ach Trinny and Susanna always go through this on every trip away - First Kennedy says hes not going then he decides that he is and then one of them will say they will go shotgun.

Some boy! Basically with my car

- My suspension aint on properly (been fitted with incorrect bolts for a stopgap)
- My Manifold is only just staying on the car. (Bolts that hold in cat don't have heads & I melted the bolts down so that they hold the cat in place)
- I still have that massive dent on the bonnet
- Wheels have alot of scuffs on them as the AA guy stuck a crowbar through the spokes in order to try and lift up the rear coil :(

Right folks, slight change of plan.... ;)

Mikey has kindly offered us the opportunity to get our cars inside on the sat afternoon and Rob and myself have made an executive decision to take him up on the offer. This means we will be leaving Bothwell Services at 10:00hrs so we can get down to Liverpool with a stop for lunch by 14:00hrs. This gives us time to wash the cars and get them inside. Mikey has asked us to have the cars ready to go in by around 4pm. :thumbs up:

this means less of a rush on sun morn, but might cause a bit of prob for the northeners, but it was too good an offer to turn down... :yes nod:

SHOW INFORMATION:
Getting there:
The postcode is L9 5AS, it is signposted from the motorway. If you travel to the end of the M57 & turn left onto the A59. Aintree is on the left after the retail parks (1 mile). Enter THROUGH the barriers & turn left just before the grandstands. Please follow directions of the marshals.

Cars inside the hall:
Club stand & show & shine set up is 8am-9.30am. Drivers will need a car pass for car access along with a entry wristband for each adult in the car (these can be purchased on arrival).
Please stick to a strict 5mph limit on site & please try to arrive with less than 1/4 tank of fuel. No engines are to be started once the shutters are closed. The shutters will be closed from 9.30am-4pm & NO cars will be permitted to move in the hall between these times.
If you have early access to the hall for club stands please do not approach the trade stands until the show opens at 10am. This is for health & safety while they setup & also so they can concentrate on getting everything ready for you.

Other guests:
The show opens at 10am, wrist bands must be shown to access the hall (you can buy these on arrival) and you are welcome to come & go during the day.

Activities:
There will be a quiz during the day with a prize available (bring a pen). All prizes & trophies will be awarded at 3.30pm

Facilities:
There is a cafe & toilets in the hall & also a mobile food unit in the car park. Please put all litter in the bins provided.

Health & Safety:
If the FIRE ALARM sounds during the show - please leave the building on foot by the nearest fire escape. These are all around the building & the shutters will also open. Please assemble in the car park alongside the racetrack.
If you need first aid please ask a marshal.

RULES:
Please follow directions from the marshals.
If your car is going in the hall you will not be able to remove it until 4pm
Demo cars from non exhibiting companies will not be permitted onto the site

SHOW & SHINE:
As well as those that have entered the show & shine, all MINIS on club stands will also be judged. Please print out the show & shine form from the www.newminishow.co.uk website, fill it out & put in your front windscreen (or design your own)

CAR WASH:
If your arriving the day before (or a few might scrape in on the morning of the show) There is a hand car wash 100m past the Aintree entrance on the right side. It opens at 8am.

Saturday night:
Liverpool has a fantastic nightlife so you may want to go there. Liverpool One & the Albert Dock have lots of places to eat & then the city is packed with bars & clubs. For those staying at the on site Premier Inn there is a railway station opposite which will take you straight to Liverpool Central
OR come to Sorrento in Formby for a pizza. I am organising minibus from some hotels. Please email me if you would like to come for the pizza
