Does anyone know what this does mine is rattling like mad
its on a mini cooper r56

Does it not help quite the alternator/air con pump belt.

My allternator pulley was squeeking like mad so they canged my allternator pulley under warranty.

I've got an intermittent rattle and squeak from my R53 from the area of the pulleys. The squeak only happens when I'm pulling away and the rattle under acceleration, so whenever I put my head under the bonnet, it's running perfectly quietly. Probably gave to wait until something completely fails and causes untold amounts of damage.

Sounds like the tensioner pulley, mines getting replaced next week.

Mine got changed on my clubby in sept , car was new in may , best thing was lent me new clubby 59 plate with 200 on clock, when i took it back in the afternoon told them it had same prob
