What's the best stuff to use to clean my
- standard rear callipers
- red JCW callipers

And is Hammerite the best stuff to paint the rears with (to match the front JCW callipers)?

Buy a can of Brake cleaner

Just standard brake cleaner is what I normally use nowt special.

Hamerite does work but I found it to be a bit PINK for my liking:blush:
Could be I didn't put enough layer on tho:rolleyes: I put on one layer and thought "good grief that's pink not red" so promptly painted over it with gold hamerite instead:smilewinkgrin:

I've heard a few folk say that about the Hamerite, I take it with a few coats it will go red.

Anyone with any other paints best to use? I think really the way to go is powder coating is it not?

I used halfords caliper paint,
3 coats within and hour and turned out very well :smilewinkgrin:

Bought some yesterday. Just got the rears to do, got the JCW kit up front. Did you have to mask any areas off on the rear calipers?

Hmmmmm love your R95's. ;). Are they spray painted ?

Yeah they are sprayed a Ford colour(nicest colour out of a mass of colour charts)... Mates dad has a spray shop, mostly lorries and vans but he has been refurbing alot of wheels recently for local garages so I got good mates rates :)

as for masking, nah I just was carefull and did them slowly
should really have taken them off but then the job turns out twice as long and twice as hard!!
