Center speedo needles vibrates when starts

Hey guys, i have had this problem since i got the 03 mcs
basically when i start the car the speedo fuel gauge and the water temp gauge all pins all falls to 0 or the bottom and vibrates then come back up, but sometimes this doesn't happen (very rarely though)
so is there something wrong with my center speedo? and how do i fix this or do i need to replace it?

My 52 plate cooper always done that on start up too, well the first bit anyway. Sometimes it would vibrate too on initial start up never really thought it was a problem. I'm sure there was a thread up about this a while ago.

Nothing serious really just an indication that your battery is starting to run a bit low hence why the instruments vibrate to recalibrate.

i also have this problem with my coop doesnt do it all the time but now i know wht the problem is ie battery my car doesnt get long journeys often as i use my car mostly for work round town :smilewinkgrin:

Ah battery that's what the issue was. my battery was dodgy at that time too.
