Well finally had to go out and buy myself a car. After 32 years of having company cars this is the first car I've bought for myself since a Morris 1100. Have to say I'm really pleased, especially as it was half the price of Sioban's car. Picture taken down by St Mary's Loch, apologies for dirt......will need Mr Kings magic at some point.

I know exactly where you took that pic. Thee AA box is very rare these days. We almost go past in on this years May mini adventure.

You should have told me you were going down that way as you could have stopped in on my own your way home.

Very nice, Just before I got the Mini I seen a fantastic looking Jag for under 14K it just looked a great big comfy car and a hell of a lot of car for the money.
My friend had Jags way back the big V12 and his XJS always love the mega smooth ride.

It certainly is an old mans' car. Bought it because I love the classic style and it won't date in my mind....... somehow you want to cruise at legal speeds. Craig, first ever deisel..... but what great torgue and it doesn't sound like a taxi.

Nice - these are really good value these days, especially the diesel. Didn't Clarkson put it round the ring in under 10 minutes?

Great to see that video again, the way Sebine dumps the Jag into the Carousel is amazing. Did the Ring with Sebine in an M5....she is amazing and still had time to "showboat" when she got the slightest bit held up. My fastest time was with a German guy in a race prepared 3 series BMW, he did low 9's all the time. Don't know what my own time was in Neil's Honda, but it was scary. It's not like a normal track day, it's so long and there are so many different bends, it's hard. Clarkson must have been "cream crackered" when he was finished. Still loving the new car.

I liked it a lot :yes nod: & could really see myself buying something similar in the future
