Hi all.
Just thought i would say hello.
I am picking up a Mini on Saturday and was having a wee look at you forum to get some info.
Looks like a very useful and helpful forum.
Anyway, I was looking to down size from two cars to running just one (times are hard!!) so i sold my Hyundai Getz (daily hack) and my S2000 (pride and joy) in order to get something a little more practicle, but still fun to drive.
Went and test drove a Cooper D which i though was really good. The salesman then let me have a go in a Cooper S. I was very impressed indeed so bought one!! Just like that.
Its a Pepper white Cooper S, 59 plate with only 400 miles on the clock. Quite a few extras on it. Not sure exactly what but i will post up some info when i get the car on Saturday.
Will be really sad to see the S2000 go, but i am sure the Mini will soften the blow somewhat.
I may try and get to a couple of meets sometime too.
One question though - My daily commute to work is about an 80 mile round trip, what sort of mileage am i likely to get, driving about 6 miles B road and about 34 miles duel carriage way?? (would only be doing about 60 MPH).
