Howdy

I am from Glasgow and I have just purchase a Silver 2002 Mini Cooper with the following options:

Sat Nav
Heated Black Leather
Panoramic Roof
Chilli Pack
Alarm
ASC+T
Climate Control
CD Player

Paid £5995 from a Mini dealer

I'm not planning to do much to it, just stick some S spokes on it.... and maybe lower it.... and maybe stick a works kit on it....

I don't have any pics of it as yet (I hate the look of it with the standard 16's)

Some of my previous cars:

Do you know Phil Watson? F2UNK? Seeing your Fabia in the flesh I think you will mod the Cooper more than you say unless it is a stop gap

Hi Stuart,

Welcome to NMS. It's Ivan here from the Marketing dept.. Just noticed the name and wondered if it might be you

Your VW was stunning, i saw it a few times parked in the Church car park when i was visiting the branch. Loved the stance of it and plenty of tyre stretch out back.. Nice :thumbs up::thumbs up:

I am sure the MINI will be looking great when you have finished it.

Eeeek! I can't hide anywhere!

Yep, I know Phil Watson, I swapped my Fabia for his Corrado. He then swapped the fabia for a Celica GT4, so I belive the Fabia is down in London now!

Thanks for the welcome, I am trying to resist modifying this car as I am trying to save up for a morgage, time will tell! - It really depends on upcomming speeding conviction but I won't go into details of that on here.

Cheers!

You should. More styling than performance, as there is no great gains for a COoper

Welcome to NMSland

For sure go with some 'S'spokes :thumbs up:

Lowering , Mmmmmmmmmm , just not my 'cuppa' especially with the handling being so good as standard, has your MINI got 'Sports Suspension Plus' ?

Look at Playmini for your exhaust & K&N for the intake (the Works kit for the Coop is 'gash')

Nice looking cars you've had there, I used to be a member of Club GTi

When I say lower, I mean 30mm KW springs, nothing mental!

Im not really a fan of putting filters and exhausts on it concidering it is only a cooper!

You can't go wrong with KW.

You will probably achieve a 35mm drop with the KW. They are on my 05 model

Fabia looks very smart and the others aren't too shabby either.

Get some pics of your Mini up - lowered with the 16's might look quite cool, you never know.

welcome mate

In my opinion i wouldn't go for s-spokes I got rid of them straight away - their very heavy and my handling was greatly improved without them.

I have mine as low as it can go on BC coilovers.

was your fabia on air ride?

stuart_hatch
3rd July 2010, 10:32 AM
Yep, fabia was on air ride.

So far I have only stuck facelift rear lamps and S-Spoke on the Cooper

I think that is all I am going to do, really can't be bothered with the hassle of modifying

I think your right If you feel like that then modding is probably not for you. I can only speak for myself but I love the modding thing and it's only money that generally slows down my next project or modification. (AKA the wife)

Do you know where your old fabia is running about now?

I'm sure i passed it in kirkcaldy. Looked good, nice an low.
Looked like it had For Sale signs on it.
The plate had TOT at the end i think.
