Well, I'm sad to say that our wee adventure has come to an end.
The ex-Flying Scotsmin's away to find a new home for itself - last seen sobbing on Town & County Honda Aberdeen's forecourt :sad::sad:

I gave the wee one a last loving wash & took a few snaps for posterity hours before heading up north.

Gutted at pic quality but I was running late :argh:

What a great wee MINI someone's going to get. They better look after it :nag:

Anyway...the new machine is this wee Honda Civic EX 2.2CTDi, seems to handle pretty well & is quite torquey too.

Also has quite a few toys on board - satnav, reversing sensors & cam, bluetooth, ipod int, xenons etc.

Now to find some Type R goodies for it:cool:

Cheers

Is it a new Civic, just wondering if they fitted the newer DTEC engine?

We had the early 2.2 cdti, it was a really noisy car, I was so glad to see the back of it.

Take it you were needing more room? I liked My Honda so much I kept it from new for eight years, bit boring yes but never went wrong once. I do miss the boot space at times over the Mini.

Yeah, the JCW seats & small boot were never designed for young kids unfortunately :frown:

Not sure that it's DTEC but I'll have a look, it's pretty quiet though.

Nice one Steve ! ;)

we have just got rid of one pretty much like that. Car pulls well all the way to 130 apparently

Is it 138bhp or 150bhp?

If its 138 then its the earlier engine, perhaps they've improved the sound deadening though. Ours was a 57 plate.

Could already be sold. Saw a very similar car yesterday minus the stripes. But still had the Saltire. Couldn't click who's it was

It's at Crown Motors in Turriff, just found it on the 'trader...

We still miss it, Luca loved playing peek-a-boo through the harness slots
