Sorry to keep posting! loadsa qustions!

ive done roughly 4500 miles, the countdown to service is at 3600 approx

this means im heading for a service at 8100 approx, i remember the salesman tellin me the intervals depended on how 'hard' you drive the car, so can i taek it that a 8100 service, indicates that ive driven the car pretty hard :disapprove: wich i suppose i have :D

what mileage has other people first services been at? am i low? high? or average!?

Cheers!

Wow, even compared to our resident racer  John, i think you may have beaten him to the first service

Personally i was 11500 for my first and i'm due my second at 28000, even with a 240 conversion, i must be getting old :p

nice one john! makes me feel a bit better!

dont want a showing up in the bmw showroom with a rallied mini! :D

did they pass any comment at your 6000 mile service john?

and will these intervals reflect any trade in price i might get? ie , 8100 service! you've booted the b*ws right off that son!! :p

cheers!

I'm sure mine was 10 000 or over....

It's at about 17 500 at the moment, and still showing 7 500 to the next service!!

Didn't think I drove it that slowly..... :I
I must be SUCH a girl..........

However, that may be why my mpg is WAAYYYY higher than your's, CooperTrooper!! 35 most of the time, and goes up to nearly 45 on long journeys..... :p

It's not just how hard you drive as it is based on fuel consumption. So, if you spend a lot of time stuck in traffic you'll need servicing sooner.

In my ONE the first service was ~9k and the 2nd at 23k.

smurf!

35mpg! you must drive like a girl! :p and a 80 year old one legged one at that lol , or mibbe im just jealous!

25mpg and 750miles a week doesnt go together very nicely!

i cant decide wether to use my old dears deisel for work, or the cooper! dont really want to be payin out all that dosh, then trooping up and down to work in a deisel :disapprove:

just need to lighten up on the right pedal!

I just got 345 miles out of my last tank.
Filled it again yesterday - 39 litres.

So what does that work out as?

I may be a girl, but I don't THINK I drive like one.....
(My passengers don't think I do, anyway!)

john,

does that mean you've nearly made it to 50k? well done!

i've never had a car last past 60k :disapprove:

how does it feel now? better than any other cars you've had at 50k?

So what does that work out as?Well, 345 divided by 39 = 8.85, multiply that by 4.55 gives you a staggering 40.25 mpg, now that qualifies as being a girlie even in my book :blackeye:
No Yorkie for you then ;):blackeye:

My first service was just over 10,000 miles, in for the second tomorrow at 24,000 but indicator still says 1000 to go but as I'm on holiday the next two weeks I'm having it done early. The service interval is based on how the car is driven, not how hard. Judging by your average speed & MPG I assume you do lots of town driving - this will mean the service needs done sooner.
Hope this helps.

Doubt anyone will get to 50k miles from TLC. The terms & conditions are very carefully worded. I'd expect more like 40k would be the normal amount of miles most people will get to.

Still a bargain though.

hmmm,

isnt the TLC for 5 years / 50,000 miles? in sayin that i didnt really read the small print, just signed away! . . . .

It's for "up to" 5 years/50k miles.

You get 3 services & 1 brake fluid change after 2 years but not a second after 4.

You are likely to get 1st service at 9-10k, second at 23-25k & the last at 37-40k.

The only possible way to get to 50k is to spend your life driving very cautiously along the motorway.

The wording is mis-leading but the package is still a bargain.

Anyone had to pay for the fourth service yet:question: - curious about how much it cost 8). I know Kirsty was about to get this done and the dealership said they had never had anyone pay for a mini sevice yet so not sure how much! But she bought a new Mini instead, must have been an expensive service ;)
