Am getting the crappy head unit in the beemer replaced this week, damn, that looked like a good option.

Hey Willie, you sure you aint got an aux input on the Pioneer, your iPod would fit right into that, i'm not too keen on the ipod just lying in the glove box though.
There are other options for fitting the ipod in a more robust way

I don't have the MFSW but I am presuming it will still work with my standard CD Player.

You can fit an iPod to any stereo by fitting an FM modulator (Autoleads part number AVFMT ):):cool:

But wouldn't that limit you to FM quality and it wouldn't allow you to control the iPod with the head unit.

Yes but its a compromise because not everyone wants to change head units:)
