Had a search about and couldn't find anything.

Got two master keys for car, one has died!
Are these just a battery replacement job or is it a little harder?

Attempted to burst it open but didn't wanna force it.

I think the manual says they are rechargeable and get charged when plugged into the dash so they recommend using each spare key for a bit every so often.

Stevie, the keys are charged through the ignition and is a sealed unit.

gonna have to be a new one im afraid :(

will also require a booking in at the workshop for coding, takes about 25-30 mins to code.

Can i just ask if you rotated keys on a monthly basis to keep both at a regular charge and decharge?

Stevie,

Key from myself would be £73.10 inc vat and discount.

Coding would be about £50 inc vat

If it was the case, you can buy the key off myself and have it coded to the nearest dealer to yourself as the key would be cheaper for me to supply to you

I had to get mine recoded a couple of weeks back, Fairbairns quoted half an hour to do the job too. Funny, because I saw the mechanic park it up and lock it with the remote 5 minutes after I left it with them .:hand:

Cost - £24+ vat :thumbs up:

Was this a new key? or just an old needing re-coded?

Livi can you get new chrome rings to go round the key? Mines is chipped to hell and looks awful.
