R53 JCW 197 airbox / R53 JCW 210 airbox

Does anyone know if the airbox in the R53 JCW 197 is different to that in the R53 JCW 210 please?

Looking at the VF Engineering website, the 197 has a panel filter and the 210 a conical filter.

If they are different, do both have the flap that opens at 4500 rpm? or is that the 210 airbox only?

My 2003 R53 JCW has the JCW airbox, sticker on the top and vacuum hose at the rear (for the flap?), does this mean I've probably got the 210 upgrade then? or a 210 kit fitted some time later than the original car was registered? because I think all 2003 JCWs should have just been 197s

ok an easy way to tell is the works box looks like 1564 if u look at this page it may help

but an easy way to tell is bye looking at the back of the air box if it ovel its a JCW box and if its round then its a standard box

yes u are right about it being a 197 for the year but you can get the upgrade mine was a 197 but i got the upgrade on mine and now tuned to a better standard
