Noticed on a few of the new BMW 3's and 5's that their rear number plate lights have a more bluey LED tinge to them. Thought they would look pretty cool on the Mini's with the xeons on the front and gets away from that yellow lights. Anyone know if they are available for the mini, or if any would fit the mini's number plate lights?

This is possibly a question for David??

I would be interested in these as I have just ordered a set for my Golf, took a while to get the right set as some throw fault up and others are guff or melt the cover.

Its a shame BMW didn't think to co-ordinate the lights a bit better than they did. The yellow of the sidelights looks odd when the headlights are on. Not sure if other manufacturers have this or not but very obvious with minis. At least with the rearlamps, it isn't quite so obvious.

I have ordered one part into stock to invistigate this.

There is not a seperate bulb that can be bought so i have ordered into stock the full unit to see what bulb it is that lies inside.

to be continued....

Unfortunate guys, the unit came in and its actually a sealed unit. with no bulb apart from 2 LED's inside and a plug for the top.

Ok, so the next question is, does anyone know the size. I've read that its a 6418 festoon bulb, but i've also read that some people have used 36mm and some have used 39mm. Anyone car to have a bash at the size?

Im temped to order both of 'fleabay' and just see what fits.
