How easy is it to remove headlamp rings (Chrome) and the small 'Sccoty' section on the Cooper S?
Was looking at removeing to matt black them, just didn't want to jump in feet first without asking the question first.

Alright,
I took my headlights right out with 3 nuts, then it gives you a better chance to removing/placing back on.
Its like they slip on at the top and clip on at the bottom.
its pritty simple, and they do look good once matt black, as i done mine :D

Thank you kindly Davie.
did you matt black and laquer?
Looking at removing bonnet stripes, ordering a black grill from yourself and spray lamprings, just didn't wanna go ahead if the scooty bit was a pain.
you got a close up pic of matt black lamp ring fitted, just to seal the deal in my mind? only done it on photshop to get an idea.
also looking at matt black M3 vinyl on mirror caps, well depending on how pricey new black ones are that is....

Sounds Great. I went for the 3m di-noc carbon fibre that also looks good IMO.
incase you missed my pic update last week. It looks even better in real life. I am going to put another few coats on this to make it look deeper.

I actually have just bought another strip of matt black vinyl.
going to try the mirror backs first then if I am happy with results I will remove rings and attack them.
seeing the CF reassures me that it will look good, makes me wanna go the CF route instead!

Much prefer to remove mirror covers and rings to tuck vinyl behind em. neater job as well.
Looks good though Billy, got me thinking about my roof now, lol

Nah, the roof looks really tacky, and how much wastage did those guys have. Obviously they were not caring, but to me, it seemed like they were just cowboys lol!
Stick to just the covers and rings!
