Anyone know how to remove the chrome filler cap on the R56. Had a look cannot see any screws etc like you got with the R53.

I fitted a filler cap to my Mini One, if it is similar to that then i had to go in from behind the wheel arch. The filler neck unbolts and moves to the side and lets you get access.

You dont get bolts with R53 cap from what i remember which is why i said. The arm of the cap slots inside the filler neck to the locking mechanism. To get to this you have to go from behind the arch.

Maybe wrong, never studied the R56 one... yet.

What u guys like. Ok the chrome filler only came (I think) on the r53 not the r50 like mine. I retro fitted the r53 chrome filler onto my r50. Like baz said through the wheel liner etc. I only wanted to remove the chrome cap nothing else. Think that explains. Anyway cheers for the info.
