So, best advice, keep an eye on the front page, run notes will posted, eventually  when they are, print off for your car.
There will be stops for toilets and regroups and probably a place to eat, your choice whether you pay for your food at the place used or you can always take your own lunch etc.
Keep an eye on the weather and take what you think you'll need, waterproofs probably

Hank Marvin - Starvin', but I fear your question may be posed purely for comic effect, Sir.

On that very question, Hank isn't 'Not a Guitarist', he's totally a guitarist, with a big red twangy Stratocaster and 'Joe 90' specs. But I don't know how fast he drives.... suppose it depends how hungry he is. Come to think of it, he could actually be telling somebody he's ravenous, but they would think he was just introducing himself. It might go something like this:
Hank goes into a restaurant -
"I'm Hank Marvin!"....... "Hi Hank, we recognised you, you're a great guitarist - how ya doin'?"........ "Fine, but I'm Hank Marvin."....... "Yes we Know, but are you hungry?"..... "Of course I'm hungry, in fact I'm Hank Marvin'!!!!"........"Get out".

Sorry Craig, back to the Thread!

Well I've had a great MINI weekend! Yesterday at Craig's Highland Fling Thing and today at his Perthshire Pleasure. Great pleasure to share these fab, but wet roads with the NMS buddies, and glad that the new folks enjoyed their first NMS experience - there's plenty more where that came from - hope it's the first of many.

Thanks to the Big Man for another excellent Perthshire run, which even the manky weather couldn't spoil (took me two goes with the jetwash to get the muck off the car...). Enjoyed listening to Craig's and Stoney's exhausts from 3rd in the queue - great way of knowing when they're putting the foot down - although it made my car sound too quiet, even with the new downpipe. Thanks a lot guys... BUT my new suspension coped with the lumpier sections of road as well as being more secure on the faster stuff, which was a bonus. Big shout to Crombers for sticking to the tail of the 'Charge of the S Brigade', which shows how good the Cooper is on a decent road (or how he has absolutely no concept of self-preservation!). The food at Crieff was great too. Nice photos too by the way.

Hope to see you all on Andy and Lenore's 'Heart of the Borders' run in October. I'm away to cut out the first silencer on my exhaust.

That was one of the other names that I'd thought of funnily enough but not because of the Alice Cooper link!

Neil, that last picture looks great, I assume it was done in photoshop. Is it fairly easy to do? More to the point, could you explain in an e mail to a "numpty" how to do it? I would love to have a go.

Sure no problem, I will explain on here how to do it so anyone can have a go.

It is very simple to do.

-Open up your picture in Photoshop and duplicate the layer so you have two layers that are identical.
-On the top layer, if you desaturate it by using Control+Shift+U (Command+Shift+U for us fruit users). This will turn the layer black and white. This is the short way of doing it, for better results its worth playing with the colour levels to get deeper tones, but for the look you want, the desaturate adjustment is the best and quickest way to do it.
-Then its just a simple case of taking the rubber tool, and rubbing out where you want the colour to come through.
-To finish, just flatten the image and it combines the two images into one.

For best results, try picking out just one colour, or one object. One of my favourite pictures of this is from my sister's wedding a few years back. I've popped the picture in below as I figured seems this run is long since done, that they mods won't mind me dropping it in!

It helps that he had high quality material to work with from the outset.:yes nod::laugh:

Thanks Stewart and Neil, I will have a bash at it. Probably works better with a brighter colour, ie red or blue
