6 figure OS Eastings & Northings converstion to OS Mapsheet and 4 figure Easting.....

Anyway afternoon all.....

Just a quick question; I’ve an Excel table of 6 figure Eastings and 6 figure Northings (260851,663855) in separate columns and am needing to convert these to one column in the format AB12341234.

Anyone know of a spreadsheet macro that can so this or web based program where I can just cut & paste my data into.....?

Have found one where I can type data into but have a list of 300+ so only really a last option :argh:

Ah, missed that bit. We do this on one of our systems, but it's embedded in centuries old hardware so I've no idea what algorithm it uses I'm afraid.
