View Full Version : Alta air filter installed.

Finally got round to installing the Alta air filter last night. Went for a drive and ......wow!! No difference at all...

Having said that, I guess there was a slightly more prominent whistle/whoosh noise when you come off the throttle quickly after accelerating hard :Whistle:

(For the record, I wasn't expecting anything anyway :moonie:)

Do you still get same response & performance?
You usually find you get loads of whoosh but lagging at top end?

Had K&N on classic, great noise, 2+3rd gear were transformed but the top end was down

No noticeable difference in response or performance, but them I'm no Jenson Button so perhaps someone else would notice :lol:.

I'm sure the engine is breathing more easily now since the Alta air filter does give enhanced air flow so I'm satisfied in that respect :thumbs up:

I'll have a proper shot of it Del and see. TBH I never noticed when I put mine in, but liked the wee bit of noise. You'd probably find a couple of bhp change, don't think the average person would notice the difference.

allegedly Baz you and I know otherwise. Just cos your CLAIMING it's a cooper with the insurance company and all, i've seen the KERS in your boot. Not even mentioning the turbo.

I've placed an order for a Dave.F filter..can't wait to get it!..should be fitted by end of feb!!:D
