Paintball 2: Sunday 15th August 2010

Last years Paintball day was a great success, and there was immediate interest in one for 2010. Although everyone did suggest a warmer month than November, as the last day was very cold and rained very heavily all day.

So, Paintball Day 2 has been organised for Sunday 15th August. I know it's ages away but there's a reason for organising so early. I have a voucher from Bedlam Paintball (http://www.bedlampaintball.co.uk) for up to 20 players worth £35 per person. This gives: 8 Missions, full equipment hire on the day, 3 pyrotechnics per player.

Each person needs to send me a deposit for £15.00 ASAP. If I get the deposits soon, I can also take advantage of a free hot lunch offer.

So, deposits please..... You can Pay Pal me £15.50 (50p to cover the Pay Pal costs), or send me a cheque for £15 per person. Or cash works too! Either way you want to pay me, can you PM me to let me know, or ask for my address etc.

Meet time is 9AM. The sooner everyone is there the sooner we get playing.

Location is on this Google Maps page (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?ie=UTF8&ll=55.972895,-3.387389&spn=0.00235,0.004823&t=h&z=18). Bear in mind the "satellite" view on Google doesn't show the new A8000 motorway link to the A90. The "map view" does show this new road. The instructions on Bedlam's site are quite clear on how to get to the site.

Lunch is included in the £15 you have all already paid, but if you wish to bring extra food; sandwiches, drinks etc, you are more than welcome to.

Prices for paint on the day is on the Bedlam web site. Bedlam Paintball Web Site (http://www.bedlampaintball.co.uk/paintball-edinburgh.html)

Basically you are looking at £15 for a "large reloader" which contains roughly 125 paintballs. Regular reloader is £10 for about 80 balls.

Well, sorry to let everyone down, but, I can't make it tomorrow.:sad::sad:

Short story is that I've been fighting a sh!tty infection for a couple of weeks now, on my 3rd type of antibiotic and they are still not working. Been in and out of the docs, and only worked half my shifts for 2 weeks now. Was in work today and felt like a zombie, but I gave Neil ALL the paperwork for today in anticipation of this happening. I had planned to get up at 6.30 and see how I felt, but it's 1am and I have a temperature of 102f and it would just be frikking nuts for me to go tomorrow. I had even planned on going just to watch as there was no way I'd have the energy to play, but it isn't to be.

I'm really sorry to let you all down. Seriously p!ssed as I've been looking forward to this for months now.:sad:

Neil will look after you all tomorrow. I hope everyone has fun.

Well after 4 days of being on another planet, I'm finally feeling well enough to look at the internet.

It looks like you guys all had a great day on Sunday, really pleased about that. I was a tad worried when I heard there was another 150 players on the day. But it seems you were really well looked after and you all had a good time.

Still really p!ssed I missed the day as I organised it and felt I had a responsibility to be there and I love paintball anyway. But, honestly, Sunday was a blur for me, spent almost the entire day in bed.

Anyway, glad everyone had a good day. Thanks for the feedback from those who sent me texts.
