I am in an area where Sky would not accept me for the cheaper price I used to get before I moved.

I have been pretty happy with this service.

Shocking really as I'm pretty sure we're paying handsomely for 10mb download from what I recall.:ragin:

That's pretty crappy for my work connection.. the Networks guys must have been mucking about with some of their Firewall software
The latency is normally about 3 or 4 too... not 36! hmm...

Last time I tried at home i was getting roundabout 9.8 Mbps down..

I have been looking into dropping AOL, £24 a month and I get 2.4M average.
Been looking at talktalk or SKY.

Both have unlimited downloads and are £10 a month, just wanted to see if anyone else has one to add to the pot or any -ve's about talktalk or SKY?

I'm on "Be" on the 8mb service for £13 and to be fair its been fine. It done through your phone line and you really need to chack were your local BT exchange is.

0.7 miles for me. Very old lines though but my speeds are decent, with O2 who bought the BeUnlimited network in 2006. I'm on the 'upto 16mb' package, no DL limit, no throttling or traffic shaping and no closed ports. £10 a month if you are an O2 customer, £15 otherwise I think. Their service really is excellent, 24hr free UK helpline who know their stuff, and will even send you 'unofficial' software for the wireless router that they supply so you can bypass the crippled interface they install, I wanted to use it only as a bridge and they were quite happy. Even sent me a brand new one to play with, in case I broke it, FOC!

I dont know what speed my line top out at as I'm only on 8MB and it hangs around that most of the time. Pity they dont give you a free week to see what you can get out of the 24MB.

To be fair I'm only on the web and Email just now as the PC is past it for games.

What are the internet prices like over there?Stand alone this speed pricing is about $55 per month, but, i'm bundled in with cable and telephone as well, so, it works out at around $45 per month for the internet
