Is Broxden at Perth then? Need to forgive me here, my road knowledge is pretty awful past Stirling :I

If somebody can take charge of the route for each stage with regard to timing and direction that would probably be the best way to organise it. Any Volunteers ;)

Thankfully Glasgow to Stirling is an easy one :D

LnL is looking at some alternative roads for the Dundee stage to make it a bit more interesting.
If the Glasgow posse like I can come up with an alternative for Glasgow as well, taking us through some quick back roads and coming out at Denny, next to Stirling. Could make for a bit more interest but we'd need to give it an hour to get to Stirling.

If your up for it I'll get the route sorted for us.

Nope, not missed the times yet Kirsty :).
We are leaving Dundee at 10am so if its about 45 minutes to Dundee from Perth, and the same to Perth from Stirling then I guess that would probably be around 0830.

We need someone to lead the route for each stage and work out the times (just like that nice young man from Dundee, LnL :p).

Add me to yon Stirling list please.

Just a cautionary word though - remember the whole point is to get to the gig at Arbroath, so don't make the routes on the way up too “interesting”, or we'll all end up doing 300mph to try to get there on time.

Coming back's a different story.......

Good point about the routes as well. The Glasgow 'diversion' adds just a few minutes (will be running it tonight) but gives some great wee stretches :D.
Likewise Ewan has picked his route out to avoid roadworks and other evils .

Worth remembering for whoever does the other two stages though (any volunteers yet?).

Right..........From junction 9 on the M9 to Perth services is approx 36 miles (8 miles on the M90 and 28 miles on the A9 ;)) so 45 mins should be loooaaaaaaaaads of time to do it in (M90=70mph, A9=60mph). Providing the west coasters are not late in arriving at Stirling :blackeye: and we leave on time from Stirling we should be OK for the Perth departure time.

Just had a thought. 3rd July first Saturday in July. This means that the Doune and Dunblane show will be on which in turn could mean that the Keir roundabout may be busy between Stirling and Perth although we should be early enough to avoid any jams.

What about the Scottish Fair thing that is on at Scone will that mean the roads around Perth will be busy.

We now need to leave Focus by 10:30 so looks like the times for the convoy meet up are going to have to be brought forward a bit.

How do people feel about shifting everything as below :
This would make the times GLASGOW 0715 (straight along the motorway), STIRLING 0800, PERTH 0845, DUNDEE 0930.

Would also be an idea that if people cant make it in time for their convoy that they know how to get through to Arbroath on their own, just in case!

My mobile number for the day will be 07952 560 542 so if anyone wont make it to their starting point they can phone so we aren't waiting on them (not that we would anyway, apart from Dundee when we'll all be waiting on our glorious leader LnL :p).

We were going to head over the backroads, but for the sake of time its motorway now :(. Will be straight along the M8 and then onto the M80 throught Moodiesburn, so you might be able join up at the slip road on just before Cumbernauld.
If you need to phone to check where we are on the road my number is 07952 560 542.

Anybody who might want my mobile number (especially you convoy leaders! - Get your ears on Rubber Duck! ;) ) for Saturday's exploits, chuck me a quick email and I'll get to you.

Just in case of emergencies / getting lost / running late etc... so you can let us know what's going on... :D

Can you email me your number please Ewan.
Mine is 07952 560 542 for anyone who needs help or to contact us during the convoy.

Allen, I've got a green light mate :D, will maybe join up at Stirling now, seeing as the times have changed, where is the meet point for Stirling? :I

Head straight up the M80 following the signs for Stirling, you'll see MOTO Services signposted, its just off the motorway and first left. Even easier to find than Cumbernauld :).
If you get stuck though, just give me a phone.

Cheers buddy, knew I could depend on you for directions :p:D:D
