Hey ppl, wee question, I'm needin to get new tyres for ma car and just wondering if anyone here has used Falken FK452's, heard good reviews about them and can't really find any other tyre at that price which has as good review, also is there a Market for selling good used runflats as the rears are fine but obviously I can't run non run flats on the front and run flats on the rear.
Soz for long post for wee question, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Fraser.

Hankook Evo V12 came out really well in a recent test by a German car magazine and are a mid priced tyre.

http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2009-Auto-Zeitung-Summer-Tyre-Test.htm

The Falken are a Jap tyre rather than Korean/Chinese. There's some reviews here (http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Falken/FK452.htm)

and a long term test here (http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/falken-fk452-longterm-test.htm) notice the comment at the end of the review: -

' If you're after excellent performance on a budget we thoroughly recommend you look into this tyre, however if cost isn't an issue then the FK452 is still noticeably behind a premium ultra high performance tyre. '

Depends on your budget I guess, but given the fact that the Hankooks came out as well as they did I'd go for those. Tyres are probably one of the most critical components on a car and certainly not an area for cost cutting as they could mean the difference between stopping and crashing, see here (http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/Autocar-Tyre-Test-Budget-Tyre-Performance.htm).

I have used Falkens in the past and they work well, until you push hard. Depends on your driving style, but the 452's are a good tyre. :thumbs up:

Hey cheers for the replies ppl, really helpful advice, I def won't be scrimping on the quality but also don't wanna spend £400 quid or so putting tyres on if u know way I mean, a 21 yr old apprentice joiner ain't the highest paid proffesion even In 4th year lol. Wil def check out those toyos though thnx.

Also my tyres are 205/45/17 don't spose there would be any problem in dropping down to 40's eh??

Hankooks here (http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m4b818s457p0) for £73 so should be £80 fully fitted.

Or if you're really on a budget they have the Falkens and the Maragoni Zetalinea for less than £60

when I had my BMW the BMW guys rated the Falken tyre and rear wheel drive so they must be good.

Thanx again for all the replys ppl very helpful, think I will just go for 40's just worried about having big gap above wheel inbetween arch, but only works out about 10mm more, thinking about lowering anyway, not realy sure what springs to go for, will do bit of research though.

Cheers, Fraser.
