I've changed the oil no probs and unscrewed the oil filter cover no probs. The problem is the actual filter itself wont come out of the metal lid. It has the black plastic centre core and spring fitted inside the filter. It springs up and down ok but even using moderate force without ruining or breaking the old filter won't budge it. It doesn't want to come out of the lid. I've had to refit it just to keep the car on the road - not ideal as I've filled it with new Edge oil so the sooner I get a new filter in the better.
