coming from my 06 cooper S works, it only happens when pulling away at low revs, sounds like a belt/pully?

Thanks for any help/info.

Alan.

Possible worn belt and/or the idler pulley

this could also be the clutch as they are known to make that type of noise whilst pulling away in first gear.. :frown:

Job for BMW? well that depends if it's still under warranty. If it is (I think it will be as you bought from DP and you would have got a cherished warranty for 1 year with it..) I would book it in to be looked at under warranty. :yes nod::yes nod:

Diagnosis online is not that easy but if that is what's wrong and If they will do it under warranty then great,( gearbox out) depending on mileage
might be worth anew clutch at the same time ( you would have to pay for that though)

The clutcch will be out anyway so it makes sense and will save you money in the long run as you would not be paying for any labour.
