Nikon D300 with Sigma 120-400 lense at 400. PP and cropped.

well done, you can see the craters and the dark spots.

the pock marked areas are the craters which you can see more to the bottom of the moon. The dark areas that you see from middle to top of the moon are seas or to use the proper term which is mare.

Good picture:thumbs up: better to take a photo when the moon is not in full phase as you get more detail just like in your pic.:thumbs up:
Took one tonight when moon was in full phase but was really just wasting my time as you can't get the same detail.

May be a bit of PP in Photoshop could bring out some more details. But a nice shot regardlessly.
I was thinking about doing the same last night but the sky was overcast round my area. :sad:
