Hello all,
Normally i use Meguiars polish and carnauba wax for a nice finish (i used to use Auto Glym super resin polish and high gloss finish)
However i was in Halfords yesterday to pick up some Meguiars hot wheels and noticed Auto Glym's High Definition Wax.
After reading the leaflet, it seems like a decent product, but at £40 - i don't know if i would shell out the cash and go back to Auto Glym products.
Anyone here use this product before? what do you think of it?
All the Best

I am a big fan of ag's stuff and have tried loads of their products. I have never tried the HD wax but I have seen it used and heard loads of good stuff about it. The king of shine I'm sure will be along soon to give you the definitive answer on it.

I've used it thought it was good and certainly easy to use as long as your applicator is damp and you work in small areas. As for the £40 price tag well I have not bought a second tub as not entirly sure the results justified the price tag.
There are so many premium waxes on the market and i think it all commes down to personal choice and the end result that is desired.
I was using on 4 cars at the same time to gage results 1 white 1 black 1 BRG and one metalic blue and to be honest the best results came from the White car.
If you have done your prep work and made sure that your cleaning and polishing stage are spot on then you should be happy with the results from AG HD wax.
Me my personal choice at the end of the pot was that I would stick with the Poorboys Natty Paste Wax as obtained fantastic results at a third of the price.
I am about to try out Autosmarts new Wax as soon as I can get my hands on it

Crombers uses this wax, but he ain't that big of a clean freak (his own admission ;))
I would suggest Collinte 476S or 915. I have both and they are very easy to apply, give great shine and bead like mad. :thumbs up: These also last for aaaaages. :yes nod: and they are much cheaper than £40.

I would agree, Collinite is brilliant.

Thanks for the info, i was investigating the Meguairs range a little more last night, and i'm already a fan of their stuff, i think i will try some more of the products they have to offer, and see what the results are like.
£40 is a lot of money for a little tub of wax, which doesn't give you the best god damn shine in the world!!!

Once you have tried the likes of Collinte, I doubt you will consider Meguiars again.
I have had Cold Class and NXT wax in the past, a lot of work with poor results compared with Collinite.

you will get autoglym HD wax much cheaper than 40 if you go online. Im sure i4detailing does it for about 28 pound.
I have tried it as one of my mates has a tub and we all swap stuff about. It was a fairly good product but I still think meguiars 16 wax for 12 pound performs better.
