Hi There,

Just a quick message to say hi and introduce myself to the New Mini Scotland Forum.

Three weeks ago, I got the keys to a new Mini and I am absolutely happy with the car. My dad was so amazed with the car that he has just put in a order for a Mini.

My last car was a Volkswagen Polo - which was a nice car, but was not that quick :-)

I am looking forward to driving the car up in the roads in the Highlands of Scotland.

Thanks,

Gusc524

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I have got a British Racing Green, Mini One, with a couple of Optional Extras. There is scope in modifying it, however it is my intention to keep it for a couple of years before I can afford a Cooper S.

My first project is to get a Chrome Front Grille and Exhaust Pipe End added to the car.

it is a terrible afliction. The thing is you mod then once it looks just as you wanted you sell it for a newer/faster one.

Big wave :bigwave: I'm up at EK three times a week so might see you about. I go to yon John right centre.

As for your Grill, your the opposite from me, I keep thinking I like the black grills over my one. You can just have to much chrome at times. ;)

Cars looking great not a great deal of green about. :thumbs up:

Again many thanks for all your welcomes. :thumbs up:

I choose BRG because it was always my dream to own a E-type Jaguar in that colour and I just thought when I ordered my Mini that I could fulfill half of that dream! Also because as there are not too many Greens about, I just wanted to be different ;)

However, today I did today notice a new BRG Cooper driving about in EK - so I'm probably now not the only Green in the "Village"

Anyway, I am going up to Glencoe next weekend, so I am looking forward to "rallying" it up the A82 :D

Hope the weather is good. I had Fort William done and dusted in the first few weeks of ownership, had to be done. :D

Hi Gordy,

I live in the Calderwood area of East Kilbride.

Ah Calderwood, i spent many a summer on the pitch and putt!!!!

I actually had a load of friends in Calderwood, as we all went to Claremont, ah those were the days!!

I only been living in Calderwood for the last couple of years.

I lived for most of my time in the other side of EK and I attended Duncanrig Secondary.

The pitch and putt is still there, however these days it seems to be the place where the local neds hang about

Anyway, the mini is going to get it's first thrash up to Glencoe this weekend, lets hope that the roads are quiet

Again many thanks for your welcomes.

I have already seen countdowns silver S a couple of times in my travels.

In terms of the BRG's, I seen another one this morning - so there must be a few more greens than I thought
