I travel down Hemsby in Norfolk twice year for the big Rock 'N' Roll Weekend, there's always a good turnout of fifties hotrods to be seen.

Thought I'd share one or two pics from previous trips.

I pasted in the html codes from my Flikr album but they appeared as code and not photographs.. like this

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/9153842@N08/3424185201/" title="PA060001 by koolsville, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3329/3424185201_bba5cd41ed_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="PA060001" /></a>

So I deleted them, guess I need a bit of tech advice.

Yeah me and my step Dad are into the hot rods. He still goes to most shows.

I have been to the nationals several times with him.

He built a Pop years ago and a Camaro.

Last car he done was a 1953 step side Chevy pick up (chrome grill type).
He bought it from Canada as a solid body which was still running the straight 6 with a 3 speed manual.

That was removed and a brand new 350ci small block chevy V8 fitted with a new 4 speed auto racing box.
The whole vehicle was painted ford radiant red and retrimed inside. Im pretty sure it was Camaro front suspension but cant remember what was on the back. Anyway it sat pretty low.

Will need to dig out some pics. I went down to the nationals in the Chevy. It turned some heads.
He sold it about 4 years ago for around £16k but still regrets it.
It was sold to a man in Scotland but not sure where it is now.

I love to see the pics if you can find them. I think I saw that truck a few years back at the Pre67 Ford show at Bridge of Allan.

Back when I was 18/19 years old I toyed with the idea of building a 5 window coupe:yes nod: (a bit like the ZZ Top Eliminator:cool:) Got as far as having a 3.5 Rover V8 and the Jag independant rear end but ended up building a flat bed Moggy Minor instead:D Used to buy the Custom Car and Hot Rod & Custom mags every month for inspiration:rolleyes:
