View Full Version : Decided to take in the Yorkshire Dales Buttertubs Pass

I drove back up to Scotland today and as it was nice to begin with decided to take in the Yorkshire Dales Buttertubs Pass, although the Pass only was a short five mile hop with fantastic views it was actually the drive to get there I enjoyed the most. The Roads and scenery were at times stunning. Passed through what I’d class for the older peeps “All creatures great and small” Country. Village after Village, Bridge after Bridge.

Really the drive started from just past Thirsk then on to Masham, Layburn, Downholme then across the B6270 taking the pass road after Muker.

What a fecking road, although having to keep the speed down due to common sense and the tight squeeze and blind corners it was still fantastic. I was going on to the Lake District but the weather packed in just before Kendal so that will have to wait as I decided to head north up the M6 instead.

A few pics. Honestly that Audi RS4 only lost me because I stopped for pic’s :D

Better than that boring A66 anyday.:thumbs up:
