Very nice. Dubai is on our list, but we're gonna wait until Dubailand is up and running and when Seaworld and Busch gardens is open etc.

I'm lucky my daughter lives on The Palm so holidays to Dubai are easy to plan. :laugh::laugh::laugh:

I've never seen a great deal of minis on the roads there tho plenty of supercars with nine out of ten motors being 4x4s. I dont think I'd bear having a wee mini there coz it would drive me nuts trying to keep it clean. I think its good planning with no lorries allowed on city roads during the day until past rush hour. The trafic is bad enough without having to battle with them too.

Glad you enjoyed Dubai. I love it out there. Its grand being able to go out any time of day or night without fear of being mowed down by obnoxious drunks.

Zimbo - thats nothing, there is 3000 cars in the police compound that are being auctioned soon! most of which have been abandoned with the keys in them at the airport or just randomly, from what i could see there were plenty of caymans, rangerovers, mustangs etc, the car park next to my dads place had a Masarati Grandtourismo that had about 0.5inch of dust coating it! :argh:

Craig N - I used to work with her in glasgow, shes a singer/actress/model out in dubai, quite famous out there, youtube search "Clarita De Quiroz"

Andy - You'll be waiting a lonnnnng time! its been put on hold just now as far as i know, along with the world map.

Sheilz - my dad and 3 of his colleagues are going to rent a house on the palm in the new year , would be awesome to wake up and have a beach in front of your house :thumbs up:

Fab about the new apartment. Dani lives in the second block on the right hand side when you get onto the boulevard to the Palm properly. Its awesome being able to slip down to the pool or the beach first thing in the morning before it gets too hot. The water is so salty and deliciously warm that I was able to just float on my back without as much as twiching my toes to keep afloat with the occasional shoal of flying fish passing by. I cant wait till we go back in April.

Oh well. Got a wee while to wait yet then. That must be 5 years away:eek:. to go from the entrance arch to a full blown park.

It's taken them 2 years so far just to add Harry Potter in Orlando and it's still not due to open until next year.:eek:
