Hi folks,

I had a query regarding the suspension options on a new JCW... I see you can order the car with either normal suspension or with the sports suspension... My question is... is the sports suspension option on a new factory JCW the same sports suspension you can get as the upgrade WORKS option (dealer fitted suspension shown in the WORKS accessories brochures)?

Hope that made sense....
Cheers
EJ

No its just sports suspension as is on the rest of the range.

The dealer fit JCW suspension drops the car down a wee bit and is apparently a better ride. Think its quite £££ though.

Ok thanks for that... do you know at all if the factory sports suspension option lowers the car at all?

Thanks

Guys,

I need to decide quickly whether i order sports suspension or not.... I'm having 18" wheels on it so unsure how stiff the sports suspension is gonna make the ride of the car...

Any thoughts?

I know it drops the ride by 10mm, most of the mags say it handles better.

Sports suspension doesnt drop ride height, its the JCW suspension that does.
I think sports just makes the car bounce more.
I dont have it on my JCW and its hard enough, but handles well, as do most minis.

I was told the sport suspension did drop the car, but TBH I never notice any difference.

It does improve the handling, but the ride is stiffer but not R53 stiff.
