Hey

Bought my first ever Mini in December last year and i'm absolutely obsessed with it.
Mines an '06, Mini Cooper S chilli. (called Mustard) haha

Anyway just a quick question, i'm looking to have a full respray inside and out and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations as to which garage to go to? I live in Inverness but i'd be quite happy to travel as far south as Perth and East as Aberdeen so anywhere within that region would be great!
And also a rough idea of cost, if anyone else has done it?

Thanks !
Look forward to hearing from you

Lou

when we stayed up @ Muir of Ord we always used Highland Body Shop on the corner on the road as you go down to the Council rubbish tip.

^^I've just been too busy tearing up and down the country in it! And I had also joined my local mini maniacs but they never really seemed to do any runs, hence why i started searching elsewhere... Glad i found NMS!

Mini Ecosse its black at the moment, i really want it a metallic purple colour!

:welcome: very brave to change the colour, that would be a massive job to do right, expect in the region of 3k minimum.
With any slight paint chip, especially on the bonnet you'll see the previous colour

Welcome!

Have you considered a vinyl wrap. May not be to your taste as you won't achieve a 'deep shine' but it is significantly cheaper.

Link below is a business that specialises in this kind of stuff. They done a car from Aberdeen in the white and it looked the biz. They are based in cumbernauld aswell

Welcome to NMSland

I personally would not ever consider respraying an 06 car. Your resale £ will fall quicker than the value of Rangers FC
As has been said your respray will cost a good few thousand, so why not look for a good Black Eyed Purple R53 of a similar age instead :yes nod:

thanks for the link! Just had a look and it seems like a really good idea, and it only last for 3-5 years too. So if i ever do get round to selling it, it would be back off by then.
Do you know of anyone else who's done this? I noticed there are quite a few minis in their gallery!

Yeh its quite a good idea, think its around 700-800 quid aswell which is cheap. I am wanting my car done in Laguna seca blue lol

No sorry I don't know of anyone else locally who do this. There are bount to be more companies down south but these folk seem to be the market leaders at the moment.

speak to Chris Pearson (cpearson on here) who is a MINI Racer and his car is vinyl wrapped in matt black. I think one of his sponsors did it, so you could maybe do a wee deal. :thumbs up::clap:

Hi Lou,

At last another mini from Inverness, Kool!!!. I have seen you on the roads in the Highland Capital. Yip "Scottie's" right the paint shop down Henderson Drive does alot of the BMW work, seen a few mini's in there when going to work.

Hopefully if the Twlight Run is organised again for next year by The Dogfather which is our local run, you should get your name down.
